AAO2017

Last week Dr. Laquis was an invited speaker at the American Academy of Ophthalmology’s annual conference in New Orleans. He presented  “Non-Endoscopic Intranasal Dacryocystorhinostomy”.  Dr. Laquis has a unique approach to Dacryocystorhinostomy, in which there is no external scar, and a higher success rate. Dacryocystorhinostomy is a procedure used to fix a blocked nasolacrimal duct. Often, the first sign of a nasolacrimal duct obstruction is constant tearing, but as the obstruction persists, patients may develop recurrent infections and even abscesses.

If you or a family member are concerned that you may have a nasolacrimal duct obstruction and wish to speak with Dr. Laquis about his innovative approach, call our office for a consultation at 239-947-4042. We have offices in both Fort Myers and Naples.
